Bookings can now be made for the Cold Water Swimming Sessions we are running throughout the winter. Please note that the heaters are off so the pool water temperature is much lower than usual (around 12-16 degrees). As usual there will be one lifeguard on site. Tea, coffee and other warm beverages will also be available from the kiosk along with a variety of hot and cold snacks. Water and a variety of other cold drinks are also available. All bookings must be done prior to arrival at the Lido. To check out what sessions we're running or to book your swim, please click the button below. If you wish to enquire about private hire of the Lido, please contact Murray directly by email (email@example.com).
Please note that all sessions with Cold Water are for adults only. People under 18 years of age will not be admitted.
Because the winter is fast approaching and the weather is starting to turn for the worse, it is strongly advised that swimmers wear sandals or sliders whilst not in the pool. In very cold weather the area around the swimming pool will also be salted in order to reduce the risk of ice. Below is a set of guidance on cold water swimming. Please ensure you read it and the Terms and Conditions before booking your swim.
When you arrive at the lido, you will be greeted by a member of the lifeguarding team. They will confirm your booking and will allocate you a bench for your belongings. There will be a fast and a slow lane with bathers given the option to choose based on what they feel is more appropriate to their speed. During the current situation with COVID-19 customers will be asked not to use the grass picnic area and instead stay at their allocated benches. Whilst changing facilities at the lido remain closed for the time being, a toilet is made available for customers to use on request to the Lifeguard on Duty. We hope you enjoy your time with us.
